Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 July 2026 · These Terms govern your use of the HRintel mobile app, staff app and web app (the "Service").

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, logging in, or using the Service in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you're using the Service on behalf of a business, you're confirming you have authority to accept these Terms for that business.

2. The Service

HRintel is an attendance, payroll and staff-payments app for small and medium Indian businesses — shops, dhabas, factories, dealerships and similar teams. It lets a business Owner mark or approve attendance, compute payroll automatically, track staff loans/advances, record salary payments, and gives staff members a self-service view of their own attendance and payslips.

3. Accounts & eligibility

You must provide a valid phone number to sign in via OTP. You're responsible for keeping your login OTP and device secure, and for all activity under your account. You must be legally permitted to work or operate a business in India to use the Service.

4. Owner responsibilities

• Ensure staff are informed that attendance is tracked via the app, including any location or photo capture, before enabling those features for them.
• Accurately configure wage types, rates, shift timing and incentive rules — HRintel computes payroll based on what you enter.
• Comply with applicable Indian labour law (minimum wage, working hours, statutory dues) — HRintel is a record-keeping and computation tool, not a substitute for legal or compliance advice.
• Only use geofencing, selfie verification and location tracking for legitimate attendance and safety purposes.

5. Staff responsibilities

• Mark or self check-in attendance honestly; do not attempt to spoof location or use another person's device or photo to mark attendance.
• Keep your account credentials to yourself.
• Report incorrect attendance or payslip entries to your Owner promptly.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: reverse-engineer or scrape the Service; use it to harass, discriminate against, or unlawfully surveil staff beyond legitimate attendance/payroll purposes; upload unlawful, defamatory or infringing content; or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Service or other businesses' data.

7. Payments & subscriptions

Free features are free indefinitely. Paid plans (Premium, Multi-shop) are billed per the pricing shown in-app or on our Pricing page, exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time; cancelling stops future billing but does not retroactively refund the current billing period unless required by law.

8. Salary payouts

Where the Service facilitates UPI salary payouts, HRintel records the transaction in your khata but the transfer itself is executed by the Owner via their own UPI app or a connected payment processor. HRintel is not a bank or payment aggregator and is not liable for failed transfers, incorrect UPI IDs entered by the Owner, or third-party payment processor downtime.

9. Data & privacy

Our collection and use of personal data — including location, photos and salary information — is described in full in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

10. Attendance & payroll accuracy

HRintel computes payroll based on the attendance marks, wage rates and rules an Owner configures. We take reasonable care to compute correctly, but the Owner is responsible for reviewing payroll before disbursing salary, and for the accuracy of data they enter (rates, shift timing, incentive amounts, deductions).

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties for SMS/OTP delivery, cloud hosting, payment facilitation, and — where an Owner uses the AI assistant — an AI service provider. We choose reputable providers but are not responsible for their outages or independent failures.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time — see our Delete Account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or engage in fraudulent activity, but will never block export of your own lawfully-held data as a way to force continued payment.

13. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by Indian law, HRintel disclaims warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation, and our liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts where HRintel's operating entity is registered.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll notify you in-app of material changes; continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
